Tribute to ' Pedro '( Peter Recine )

Pedro

Peter died on the 3 June 2011 at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. .
Deepest sympathy goes to his two sons, Carl & Mark and the rest of his family.

At Pedro's funeral on Wednesday 15 June 2011 the church at Aston was full to the point where a large number of people had to stand throughout the ceremony.
A fitting tribute to a very popular character.

Our Tribute
Most of us got to know Pedro either at Bibby Sports & Social Club or when he was running his discos around the Stone area. He was always a popular character and would keep us entertain with his funny stories and jokes. He was the preferred DJ at Bibby’s Club and certainly knew how to pick records.

Without Pedro’s support Stone Soul Club would not exist. In 2003 a number of us approached Pedro with a view to helping form a Motown Group. His support and cooperation was brilliant and the first ‘ Motown Disco ‘at Bibby’s Club had an attendance of 227 people. Motown and Soul nights continued at Bibby’s for three years before we moved to St Dom’s and formed Stone Soul Club. In all the years at Bibby’s and until three years ago we had always used Pedro’s disco equipment. How many DJ’s would let other people use their disco kit ?

Pedro has continued to support our Soul Nights at St Dom’s.

A true gentleman and good friend, he will be sadly missed.
